Job Description:
As a Research Assistant at 22CPI, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of analysts and researchers in conducting in-depth research and analysis. Your work will contribute to the generation of high-quality reports, briefings, and strategic recommendations for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior researchers in conducting comprehensive research on geopolitical issues, defense policies, and global security threats.
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize data from a wide range of sources, including academic journals, government reports, news articles, and think tank publications.
  • Support the development and maintenance of databases and knowledge repositories related to geopolitical trends, defense strategies, and global security dynamics.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports, policy briefs, and presentations by providing accurate and well-organized research materials.
  • Monitor and track relevant geopolitical events, policy developments, and defense initiatives to identify emerging trends and potential impacts.
  • Collaborate with team members on specific research projects, providing assistance in data collection, literature reviews, and analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with current affairs, geopolitical theories, and research methodologies to enhance your knowledge and contribute to the team's intellectual capital.
  • Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences, including logistical support, coordination of speakers, and preparation of materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather, evaluate, and synthesize complex information from diverse sources.
  • Familiarity with geopolitical issues, defense policies, and global security dynamics.
  • Proficiency in conducting literature reviews, utilizing academic databases, and synthesizing research findings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present research findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using research tools and software, including MS Office suite, statistical analysis software, and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and intellectually stimulating environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Office Operations: Manage day-to-day office operations, including maintaining supplies, coordinating repairs and maintenance, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the team, including scheduling meetings, arranging travel, processing expenses, and managing correspondence.
